1 Effective September 1, 2001, additional requirements are imposed under Finance Code §154.151(d) and (e), including a requirement that the contract be written in plain language designed to be easily understood by the average consumer, and that it contain a standard disclosure to inform purchasers of the goods and services that will be provided or excluded under the contract and the circumstances under which the contract may be modified after death of the beneficiary.
